1* Michelin restaurant – true example of a classical and traditional French fine-dining experience, set in the lovely setting of the prestigious Hotel Albert 1er. Very good food without trying too hard.
Maison Carrier (Chamonix)
Rediscover the cuisine from the past – A more rustic version from the same owners of the Albert Premiere, la Maison Carrier is set in a beautiful converted barn – In the centre of the restaurant, racks of lamb and suckling pig are slowly spit-roasted in the open fire.
Caphorn (Chamonix)

Located in very quaint farming village of Vallorcine. Great local Savoyard food with a nice twist – lots of love has been put into create this very popular lunch spot. Great wine, relaxed atmosphere, local and seasonal products and a great vibe throughout.
A great lunch option if skiing ‘le Tour’ ski area for the day, or a snow-shoe activity for the evening. Non-skiers can take the train from Argentiere/Chamonix to Vallorcine. Reservations Essential.

Located in the heart of Argentière old village. A good option for your après ski, with a lively ambiance and a newly renovated decor, The Office Bar offers a good selection of mixed drinks, beers and cocktails. The Office Bar kitchen is a Mexican/South American inspired concept that offers many vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Chambre Neuf
This is the old favourite any time of the year – opposite the train station in Chamonix, with happy hour and live bands covering all the classics that get the crowd dancing on the tables during aprés ski. In the daytime this bar is transformed into a cosy restaurant with checked table clothes and outside seating on the sun terrace. A tasty menu is served and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
L’Elevation 1904
If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing, just across the road from Chambre Neuf, head to Evelation. With plenty of tables and seating outside you can enjoy a chilled beer in the sun, and if you’re peckish choose from a variety of sandwiches, salads, pastas and burgers. It’s also a great sun trap in the afternoons for winter aprés ski too.

Mortan, Oscar and Arjan welcome you to Chamonix’s latest aprés hotspot. They offer food 7 days a week and a great line-up of varied aprés with regular DJ sets and live acts. With Chambre Neuf and Elevation just next door, there’s all you need for a great night within 20 metres!
MBC
Four Canadians with a passion for beer set up the first micro-brewery in the Mont Blanc region in 2002. They serve 5 beers on tap, and don?t miss the MBC beer of the month. Friendly pub atmosphere with live music, burgers, chicken wings and ribs to die for – you’ll think you’ve gone to heaven! Located opposite the sports centre in Chamonix, open from 4pm – 2am in high season.
Le Vert
Le Vert has featured Giles Peterson and DJ’s from Finger Lickin’ Records to name but a few! The lounge bar has a pool table, Sky TV and great Sunday roasts. Catch the bus or train from Chamonix centre to Lac Gaillands station just a few stops away, or Le Vert is an easy 15 min walk from the centre of Chamonix and a worthwhile trek.
Bar’d Up
Happy hours, pool tables and live music – good times guaranteed! At the end of Rue des Moulins, Bar’d Up attracts many from an English speaking background. With sports games on the big screen, pool table, and live bands.

Bar du Moulin
Tucked away on the historic Rue des Moulins is a cosy little cellar bar with stone walls, wood beamed ceiling and comfortable sofas. Bar du Moulin has tables outside in the summer so that you can enjoy the atmosphere of the cobbled street packed with bars and restaurants. In winter it is a hidden gem, nestled beneath the Cap Horn restaurant so that you might easily walk past without noticing it.
